Merve Kahraman, originally from Milan, is a designer based in London. She has worked in several architecture and design studios across the world.
Through her work, she explores the relationship between her products and their users. She develops a personal bond with her masterfully crafted pieces seeing them as an “extension of ones personality” that redefines character.
Her latest project, Hybrid are peculiar and unique zoomorphic chairs, which are inspired by the “mythologies of parahumans”. The handmade collection playfully merges the seated person with an animal – moose or rabbit. It’s a clever creation that’s sure to be a conversation starter.
Take a look and we’re sure you’ll agree!
We’d love to hear your views on the pieces – would you be a rabbit or a deer?
