Lights don’t just help you find your way. They also set a mood and can be as decorative as the furnishings and the tiling in your bathroom. Why keep splashing out on candles? With the flick of a switch you can instantly create a different atmosphere.
The bathroom is where you prepare for the day ahead or relax after a stressful day. Take time to find the right kind of lighting for your dwelling:
Spotlights
These can be enclosed in the ceiling or placed over mirrors. The positioning over the mirror creates essential light where it’s needed for shaving and applying make-up. They can be positioned anywhere around the mirror to provide much needed light.
Floor and Bath Panel Lights
The low-level lighting creates a relaxing mood whilst you take a long soak in the bath tub. It takes the expense of candles away; as it provides a similar atmosphere. It also gives your bathroom that contemporary look.
Mood Lighting
If you really want to create that wow factor, include underwater bath lights or tile lights in the shower. They create a soft ambience that helps soak away the day’s troubles.
It’s not only about looking good either. People comment on how the sun’s rays feel good on their skin or watching the sun set makes them feel relaxed. So why not bring this into your bathroom? The introduction of LED’s (light-emitting diode’s) into the bathroom is known as chromotherapy. Blue light makes relaxing easier, whilst red energises and stimulates.
If this seems a little ‘out-there’ then harness sunlight by featuring a large clear window (obviously with a tinted outside so you can bathe in privacy). This will flood your bathroom with natural light that will invigorate you during your morning shower.
