Underfloor heating is fast becoming more and more popular within the home. It was not too long ago when underfloor heating was mainly associated with high luxury, it was viewed as a high end extravagance. Now having this lovely extra in the family bathroom, is more widespread and commonplace. It is a popular way to add value to your home, and is being fitted into new builds across the UK.
To achieve this look you will have to be prepared to have your bathroom floor completely taken up, to fit the heating in the appropriate areas. But if you are prepared for the change, the results can be tremendous. There is potential that once you have had the floor fitted, you will not know how you dealt without it!
Both water and electric underfloor heating systems are available, it simply depends on which you would prefer & what would be best for your existing set up.
Having a heated underfloor system helps during the cold Winter months in particular. The system is great when the temperature drops and your floor becomes unpleasant to walk across, especially after a warm bath! However, it is also lovely to have in the Summer, as it can be set to a low temperature which takes the edge off the tiling.
Depending on what flooring you have fitted in your bathroom, the heating can become very useful. We would recommend having the installation if you have a stone floor as they tend to be the coldest.
Do you have underfloor heating? What difference has it made to your home?
